icon Mechanical served as the design/build mechanical contractor for this 150,000 sqft. beer distribution warehouse. The job features Trane heat pump rooftop units for the office and Trane single-zone VAV cooling units with low-temperature controls and economizers for the cooling of the beer warehouse. Utilizing these systems saved the owner money at first cost as well as the operating cost for the cooling of the beer. This project also featured a 35° draught cooler for kegs and craft beers.
The control systems monitor the draught and CEW temperatures, record data, and sends alarms if the areas go out of temperature compliance.
The project was required to meet all of California’s Title 24 and Calgreen Energy requirements. We are proud to share that Horizon Beverage is using less energy in this newly finished larger facility than they were in the much smaller facility they formerly operated out of.
