Alan Bolt Chief Operating Officer

Alan has more than 25 years of experience in the mechanical contracting industry, managing and executing complex projects throughout his career and across a wide range of industries. He is an expert in managing design-build, design-assist, and traditional project approaches, particularly in the industrial and commercial markets.

Harry Dunsford President

Harry has 13 years of experience in project management associated with design, coordination, and construction phases. He has extensive background in large scale HVAC,medical gas, RO/DI, and plumbing systems related to research, hospital, and healthcare environments. He brings an engineering approach to clients and team members in the design development and installation processes.

Matt Lanahan Executive Vice President

Matt has 20 years of project management and preconstruction experience, including managing scope on high-profile projects. These efforts entail various contract types, cost control, and earned-value management techniques, schedule requirements, and quality control measures. Matt’s attention to detail and thorough planning ensure icon crews stay safe, on schedule and on-budget.
 

Jon Schuppan Senior Vice President, National Division

Jon has over 35 years of experience in project management and senior-level leadership in the construction industry. His current responsibilities include project development, overseeing the BIM coordination process, estimating, securing out of town labor and prefab/modularization coordination.

Paul Klaus Senior Vice President

Paul is a 28-year executive in the mechanical sheetmetal industry with unmatched expertise across a wide array of construction markets and applications. He currentlyserves as icon’s SVP, Sheetmetal Operations where he is responsible for ensuring the company remains at the forefront of sheetmetal innovation, production, and delivery.

Paul joined icon in 2024 following a highly successful 26-year career with Lyon Sheet Metal where he managed large and complex initiatives. His work entailed overseeing extensive sheetmetal projects, taking responsibility for nearly every aspect of the operation — from estimation and sales to budgeting, purchasing, installation and quality assurance. Paul is an equal blend of business expert and hands-on project manager who inspires and fosters team commitment, spirit, pride and trust.

His professional association experience includes serving as president of SMACNA – St. Louis and SMACNA national board of directors.

Darrin Smutzer Vice President, Nashville Operations

Darrin brings a wealth of experience in plumbing and mechanical, having worked as an estimator, project manager, and project executive roles. Since 2009, he has served as a director of preconstruction and vice president of operations. Most recently he was promoted to Vice President of Operations for icon’s Nashville, TN division. His project experience spans roles in wastewater, industrial, food processing, healthcare, manufacturing, higher ed, and mission critical markets.

Jeff Coulson Vice President, Plumbing

  • Plumbing specialist.

Jeff has over 37 years of experience in the plumbing industry and is currently responsible for overseeing all plumbing for IMI. Jeff’s experience includes an array of plumbing projects, from small and large commercial, hospital, industrial, and educational facilities.

Tom Baker Vice President, St. Louis Field Operations

Tom has over a decade of experience in the mechanical engineering and construction industry and is currently responsible for senior project management duties in conjunction with high-profile icon Mechanical projects. Tom’s expertise includes serving as prime contractor with multi-trades. This knowledge provides him the capacity to manage multiple subcontractors on any given project.

Stephen York Vice President, National Operations

Stephen has over six years of experience across a wide range of mechanical projects in a variety of industries. His resume includes project management of heavy industrial initiatives where his knowledge of scope, manpower, logistics, safety, and on-site acumen have enabled him to manage projects to on-time and on-budget completions.

Matt Mosley Vice President, Charlotte Operations

Matt serves as the Vice President of Operations for icon’s Charlotte Division. With almost ten years of experience, he has successfully managed a wide variety of complex mechanical construction projects, overseeing every phase from planning and design to execution and closeout. Matt is recognized for his exceptional leadership, clear communication, and unwavering commitment to quality and safety. He is focused on delivering projects on schedule, within budget, and consistently surpassing client expectations.

Trent Seiler Vice President, Service and Convergent Solutions Group

  • 20+ years of experience.
  • Service specialist.

Trent has over 20 years of experience in the mechanical trade industry. Trent brings a wide array of expertise including in new construction installs as well as service in the mechanical, plumbing, and refrigeration sectors. Complementing Trent’s vast background is his leadership presence in multiple roles as service manager, general/territory manager, project manager, director, VP. Trent’s extensive knowledge in various capacities equips his team with a resource who they can rely upon for strategic alignment, problem solving, team collaboration and overall project oversight acumen from conception to completion of projects, immensely valuable for the many “moving parts” of projects. Currently, Trent leads all of icon’s Service and Convergent Solutions group in all of IMI branches.
